   Proposal Description:
   1) The goal of this project is to generate a chart that will specify the amount  of Alzheimer-type pathology that is normal for an individual's age. The           expected outcomes are linear regression lines that will indicate normal amounts  of neurofibrillary degeneration (Braak stage), beta-amyloid plaque deposition     (Thal phase) and neuritic plaque deposition (CERAD score) for a given age. This  will provide the field with information about pathology that develops in normal  aging, which does not necessarily indicate Alzheimer disease.                     2) The objective is to understand the pathology associated with normal aging,     and to be able to define normal values such that individuals who are outside of  the norm can be identified. For example, individuals who are cognitively         normal, but 2 standard deviations above the line for the normal amount of         pathology could be considered  individuals who are cognitively normal but 2 standard deviations below the line  could be considered
